As a new year starts I always like to look back on the year prior. I am so thankful for all of you who read the blog I am always interested to see what posts resonate well with you all. My goal is always to share things that are encouraging, helpful, and inspirational so I try to evaluate what works each year and use that information in the year ahead.

This took some time but I loved making this DIY Pom Pom Garland for our Christmas tree this year. You could use this to make a garland to decorate a mantel, a doorway, or anything really. Customize the colors to fit the holiday, season, or your decor.

I love to make activity and coloring pages to kids learn the Bible. I started making them for my own kids and my Sunday school classes years ago and I keep sharing them because many of you tell me that you find them to be helpful. This set of Joseph coloring pages was popular this year.

8. How to Keep Raw Hem Jeans from Fraying
Raw hems are still going strong as a trend. I use this technique to keep my raw hem jeans from fraying and it’s such a simple thing but I’m sharing it because if you don’t sew then you may not know about Fray Check.

7. 275 Best Middle Names for Violet
I always love hearing how people come up with names for their children and the stories behind names. Middle name idea posts continued to be popular this year so I intend to share a few more this coming year because I have a lot of fun writing ones like this post about middle names for Violet.

5. Free Easter Story Printables for Kids
Over the years I have shared various printable activities and coloring pages to help teach kids about Easter and this year I shared this Free Easter Story Printables for Kids post that compiled all my Easter printables in one place. In that post I also shared some of our favorite children’s books about the Easter story.

4. Last Day of School Signs 2025
We have a favorite tradition here of taking pictures of the boys at the beginning and end of the school year to make and celebrate all that they have done and how they have grown. Every year I make printable signs for the last day of school and the first day of school.

3. First Day of School Coloring Pages
As a teacher it’s always nice to have something on hand that kids can do independently when you need a few minutes to get organized or work one on one with a student. These first day of school coloring pages would be particularly useful on the first day when everyone is getting oriented. I made one that says first day of school as well as a pages for preschool, kindergarten, and grades 1-5.

2. Free Printable You’ve Been Booed
I always say it, but I love the community aspect of Halloween so much. One act of generosity that you can do in the Halloween season is “booing” someone.
