The beginning of the school year is fast approaching and it may look different this year but I still want to make it special for my kids. Each year we snap photos on the first day and today I’m sharing my Free Printable First Day of School Signs 2020 with you all so that you can do the same.

I’m still loving yellow so it made it onto the sign again this year. I made a sign for each grade from Preschool through 12th Grade. I also made a sign that just says “First Day of School” with no grade on it just in case you want to snap a picture of all of your kiddos together.
One of my favorite school traditions is snapping a picture of each of my sons on the first day of school and last day of school. Seeing how much they grow each school year is so much fun.
Recommendations
I recommend that you print your sign onto cardstock or print it out and pop it into a frame to keep your child from crumpling the sign. If you do decide to use a frame then you’ll want to take the glass out so that there is no glare in your pictures.
Also, try to get somewhere outside to take the pictures in natural light. Avoid using a flash and try to position your kiddo so that the sun is not in his or her eyes. Be sure to give yourself some extra time on the first day of school in order to snap these photos!
