Healthy Mama Link-Up {Week 1}

Welcome to week 1 of the Healthy Mama Link-up!  Here’s how my week went:


We really did not start watching what we are eating until Monday.  Last week we were finishing off a few things around the house and I did not shop until Monday.  Since Monday I have stuck to the meal plan and it has gone well.  Just to give you a feel for what we are eating here’s what I had yesterday-

Breakfast: I had 2 egg muffins and a banana.  And water.  I drink water all. day. long.  Forgive the poor photo quality.  I eat breakfast EARLY.

Lunch: I had a can of Progresso chicken noodle soup.  And more water.

Snack: Some carrots.  There were more in my bowl, but I snapped this picture after I had eaten some. With my pal, water.

Dinner: I had the Daniel Plan Teriyaki Beef Stir Fry.  I have no picture of dinner from last night so I snapped a photo this morning.  Again, sorry about photo quality, but getting up when it’s still dark means photos are not good.  This is a great recipe for any of you looking for a break from typical “diety” food.  There is nothing diet at all about the flavor of this dish.  Oh, and I had some water too 🙂

Monday I took a long walk with the boys.  Yesterday I did an elliptical workout.  The elliptical workout kicked my butt.  I want to lose weight, but I also want to get my level of fitness back up, to be strong and in shape again.  I have yet to get back into Pilates or running but I need to.  Maybe by the end of this week?

Weight Lost

I weighed in this morning and since last Wednesday I have lost 2.0 pounds.  That’s 1.1%.  I have a few weight loss goals-

  • Get to a healthy BMI (9 pounds to go)
  • Get to my pre-pregnancy weight (11 pounds to go)
  • Get to my pre-marriage weight (16 pounds to go)
  • Total Weight Loss Goal {Get back to my ideal weight} (26 pounds to go)

Love that you posted what you've been eating. It gives me some perspective. I always struggle with meal planning and dieting. This is good. Like how much water are we talking about?

Planning and sticking to the plan is always hard for me. Each day I am making sure I drink at least 64 ounces of water. I usually drink a little more depending on how I feel, but that's my minimum.
