Cheesy Sausage Balls with Tangy Ketchup

We are a football house!  We love to have game day parties and entertain during football season, especially when we get into the fun of the playoffs.  I recently stopped by our local Dollar General to pick up some game day party supplies.

They have everything you need for the perfect game day party, including snacks, drinks, and tableware.  I picked up some Coca-Cola, Coke Zero, snacks, and the ingredients to make my Cheesy Sausage Balls.

My Cheesy Sausage Balls with Tangy Ketchup are the perfect addition to any party and I’m sharing the recipe with you today.  You will need:

Cheesy Sausage Balls

• 1 lb. of sausage (you can go mild or spicy, depending on your preferences)
• 2 cups of baking mix
• 4 cups of shredded sharp cheddar cheese
• 2 teaspoons of garlic powder

Tangy Ketchup

• 1 cup of ketchup
• 1 Tablespoon of brown sugar
• 1 Tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
• 1 Tablespoon of cayenne pepper

Step 1: Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.  Line a baking tray with foil.  Spray with a non-stick spray.

Step 2:  Combine the sausage, baking mix, cheese, and garlic powder in a bowl.  Mix it well.  It’s totally messy but it’s easiest to do this with your fingers.

Step 3: Roll the mixture into balls about 1 inch in size and place them on the baking tray.

Step 4: Bake the Cheesy Sausage Balls for 18-20 minutes.

Step 5: To make the dip combine the ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and cayenne pepper.  Serve with the Cheesy Sausage Balls.

These Cheesy Sausage Balls are great served with an ice-cold Coca-Cola or Coke Zero, the perfect beverages to serve on game day.
