Happy February! We finally made out of January. Time to make some delicious, hot comforting casseroles. I can never seem to find enough hot pads or trivets for those big dinner where I make a ton of dishes so I made a few new ones.
This is one of those really simple sewing projects that is basic enough for any beginner. Once you learn how to make these hot pads then you can apply the same technique to making coasters or potholders in whatever sizes you want.
I’m sharing the full tutorial for how to sew a hot pad for casserole dishes over on Ideas for the Home by Kenarry. You can find me there each month sharing craft tutorials and recipes that I’m sure you will enjoy along with content from a whole bunch of other great contributors.

do you ever make the bibs or burp cloths with flannel on one side instead of terry cloth?

I tend to stick with the terrycloth when I use a woven cotton but I do sometimes make burp cloths that are 2 layers of flannel.
