I know, I’m so basic with my New Year’s Resolution to get my health in order. And yes, I’ve been trying off an on to do so for some time. So yes, here we go again.
I got back from vacation a few days ago and I got my meals planned, food bought, and signed up for another round of Tabata classes. I started January 1st because I just really wanted to, so I’m only 1 day in right now. I weighed in this morning and here’s where I’m starting from this year:
I have a few weight loss goals-
- Get to a healthy BMI (31 pounds to go)
- Get to my pre-pregnancy weight (33 pounds to go)
- Get to my pre-marriage weight (38 pounds to go)
- Total Weight Loss Goal {Get back to my ideal weight} (48 pounds to go)
I also have nutrition and fitness goals (which I think are more important but less quantifiable)
- Eat consciously (No more emotional eating or eating without thinking about proper portions… So far for this week I have my meals planned out and I did some prep yesterday so it’s a little easier)
- Get in some walking every day
- Workout 4 times per week (I’ll be doing a mix of Tabata classes and walking/eventually running)
I liked Tabata when I took the class in the fall but I had some issues come up (sick kid, sick me, doctors appointments) and wasn’t able to go to a lot of the classes. I’m looking forward to doing it more regularly this go around. There’s something about short, intense intervals that works for me.
So, who else is working on their fitness with me? Let me know what you’re working on in the comments below!
