With Spring finally here, we are spending more and more time outside. My sons both love to explore the great outdoors, so almost daily we venture out to one of the parks in our area. As such, I need clothes that I can climb around a jungle gym or hike trails in, BUT, I still want to look put together.
This Spring I refreshed my wardrobe with a few new pieces from the Orvis Spring Collection. The women’s clothes from Orvis are practical for outdoor activities, but they are as stylish as they are functional.
Essential Piece #1: Shorts
A LOT of my casual shorts have no pockets. None. And I like to head out to the playground or hit the trails without a bag so I need pockets. I chose the Women’s Guide shorts in the Gunmetal color. I love how the fabric of these shorts feels. You can wear them longer or you can roll them up to wear them shorter. The fabric is a nice light weight that has a little stretch and give, which is perfect for climbing around with my little guys.
Essential Piece # 2: A Light Sweatshirt
Spring in Ohio can be a bit chilly so I love to have a good sweatshirt for layering up. This year I will be wearing the drirelease® Quarter Zip regularly. I like how cheery and bright the Orchid color is.
Essential Piece # 3: A Cute Hat
My favorite new piece is the Clover Print Trucker Hat. Hats are an essential tool in my arsenal. I want to be able to chase my boys all over the playground, hike up and down hills, and swing on the monkey bars without having my hair in my face and without having to worry about the wind whipping it into a bird’s nest. This hat does all that while being really bright and cute.
