Pillowcase Sew-a-thon for Operation Christmas Child

I’m a few days late getting this out (busy week!) but I am excited to share about a great charity sewing event.  All Free Sewing is hosting a Pillow Case Sew-a-thon for Operation Christmas Child.  Their goal is to get 1,000 pillow cases for children in need around the world.

If you aren’t familiar with it, each year Operation Christmas Child coordinates the collection and distribution of shoeboxes filled with donations for kids in need all over the world.  Pillowcases are a great addition to the shoe boxes in that they can be much more than just a pillowcase. They can be a bag, blanket, or security item to a child in need.

Every pillowcase counts and readers who submit a pillowcase get an extra entry for a Plaid-sponsored Grand Prize from All Free Sewing.

I will be going through my stash this month and making a few pillow cases and I hope you will join me!
