Hello! I’m continuing on today with my DIY Christmas gifts series and today I’m sharing how to make a cute felt name pennant using my Cricut Maker 3.
Supplies Needed
- Cricut Maker 3
- my Felt Name Pennant project file
- a gray piece of felt from the Felt Summer Sky Sampler
- a 12X18 piece of felt for the background of the pennant
Felt Name Pennant Tutorial
Open my felt name pennant project file. Click Customize.
You will obviously want to change the name to whatever name you want. What I did was I typed out the name and then I ungrouped the letters so that I could change the size of each to fill in the pennant. I started by making the first letter nice and tall so that it would fill in the space nicely. Then I fiddled with the sizes of the other letters until I liked the look. It helps to unlock the little lock in the corner of the letter so that you can have more control over the height and width. Once you get the letters the way you want them then you will click Make it.
Then you will see the cuts laid out on the mat and then Design Space will then walk you through the steps of selecting your material and loading the appropriate blade into the housing.
Once everything is cut you will peel off the pieces of felt that are not part of your cut. Then glue down the letters and decorative end to your pennant and you are done!
