I’m a morning person. I realize not everyone is. But I think that beginning your day with that whole carpe diem attitude is extremely helpful in being productive.
Here’s 5 things that help me to get more done in the mornings. Maybe they can help you too:
[One] Prep the night before. Do whatever you can the night before- lay out clothes, pack your lunch, make a to-do list, etc. Your morning with be much easier and you’ll feel like you’re ahead of the game.
[Two] Get up early. At 5:25 AM my husband’s alarm goes off. And I get up. I could roll over and sleep in until 6:00 or 6:30 when my kids get up but most days I don’t. I get up and get going. That time before my kids get up is golden and it’s one of my key tips for having a productive day.
[Three] Have an easy breakfast for yourself. A ready to go breakfast option like the belVita Breakfast Sandwiches enables me to multi-task while I eat. While I’m busy making breakfast for my kids or doing dishes I can munch on a belVita Breakfast Sandwich and an apple.
The belVita Breakfast Sandwiches are a fantastic option for breakfast because they are both delicious and wholesome. They have a layer of dark chocolate cream or peanut butter inside. Each serving contains 15 g of whole grain and provides 4 hours of steady energy.
On many mornings I take my breakfast on the road while we start our walk or as we drive to the park.
Which leads me to my next point-
[Four] Get in some exercise early! I joke that this works for me because I sneak in some exercise before I’m really awake and my body realizes what’s going on. But it really does work for me!
My kids and I head out for a walk around the neighborhood or a hike at one of our local trails. There is something about starting out day out right that puts me in the right frame of mind to keep making good choices throughout the day.
[Five] Have easy snacks for your kids. If you’re a mom of littles like me, you know how important the snacks are. My kids love to dip anything. My husband jokes that if they could dip dip into dip they would. Honey Maid Dippers are delicious dipped in yogurt, peanut butter, or yogurt.
My boys love to dip them in strawberry greek yogurt. I like that the Honey Maid Dippers can pack up easily for the park or we can enjoy them out in our backyard. There is an Instant Rebate Coupon on Honey Maid Dippers for .50 off 1 starting 6/6 available in store on the packaging.
I got both my belVita Breakfast Sandwiches and my kid’s Honey Maid Dippers at Walmart. I love the convenience of being able to get breakfast for me and treats for them all in one place.
Having an easy breakfast for you and treats for them might help you to get more done in the mornings too.

This is so depressing. These processed sugary foods are killing our country.

In our home we strive for balance. All things in moderation. On the day shown in my post I ate a belVita breakfast sandwich, an apple, and a glass of milk for breakfast. For lunch I had a salad with lettuce, cucumbers, cheese, and chicken. For dinner I had grilled chicken and fresh green beans and onions. My kids had a breakfast of eggs and apples. For snack they had one serving of Honey Maid Dippers with strawberry greek yogurt. At lunch and dinner they had the same dinner that I did. And for an afternoon snack they had carrot sticks.

I'm so not a morning person, but I need to be. I enjoy this breakfast on the go as we are out of the house for swimming lessons so early each morning! It's fabulous!
