The weather is so nice right now that I’m practically living outdoors. Today I am going to show you how to throw the ultimate summer bash with Hatfield® Quality Meats along with a super simple recipe for Honey Garlic Teriyaki Kabobs.

Tip #1: Grill

To me, the ultimate summer bash revolves around the grill. Grilling gives food such an amazing flavor. When the weather is nice I will absolutely take advantage of it and do as much cooking outside as I can AND as much eating outside as I can. So to me the ultimate summer bash should be outside and it should feature as much grilled food as possible.

Tip #2: Use an Outdoor Table Cloth

Ok, so this may sound like a total non-tip BUT hear me out! We have a huge outdoor picnic table which I love but with as much spontaneous entertaining as we do in the summer I don’t always want to take the time to wipe the table down and make it presentable. Instead of using my precious party prep time to scrub it down I simply lay down my outdoor vinyl tablecloth and the table is instantly ready to go!

When the party is over I give the table cloth a quick wipe down, roll it up, and it will be ready to go for out next gathering.

Tip #3: Make Kabobs

Sometimes entertaining can be intimidating because you’re worried about getting all the different dishes done at the same time. I like to eliminate this stress by making kabobs. Your meat and vegetables all cook at the same time. Kabobs also cook quickly and can be prepped ahead of time.

Tip #4: Save Time with Hatfield® Quality Meats

I chose to make my kabobs with Hatfield® Marinated Pork Tenderloin for both the quality and the convenience. Hatfield® has a number of different flavors of marinated meats and because they allow you to skip the marinating step you just have to cook and serve them, making it simple.

For my kabobs I picked up the Hatfield® Honey Garlic Teriyaki Dry Rub Seasoned Pork Tenderloin while shopping at my local Giant Eagle in the meat department.

Honey Garlic Teriyaki Kabobs Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 Hatfield® Honey Garlic Teriyaki Dry Rub Seasoned Pork Tenderloin
  • 1 green pepper
  • 1 onion
  • pineapple chunks
ingredients

Recipe Steps:

If you are using wooden skewers for your kabobs then you will soak them in cold water for 30 minutes to prevent them from burning. If you are using metal then you will skip this step but you will want to rub yours down with a little vegetable oil to keep things from sticking.

skewers

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.

Cut your pork tenderloin into small cubes. Wash, dry, and cut your onion and pepper into small pieces similar in size to your pork tenderloin cubes.
