Happy Friday! Happy New Year too! It’s probably too late for that but I’ll say it anyway since I’ve not been on here too much yet this year. Here is what I am loving this week:
Neighbor Christmas Gifts
Yes, Christmas is so far behind us but I wanted to share this in case you want to tuck it away as an idea for next year. I saw someone share on Instagram about doing this for their neighbor gifts and I thought it was a decent idea. I wrote a card to each family on our street and packaged up with it a pack of festive paper plates and paper napkins. It actually wasn’t my original idea but I liked it because it’s something that people can use and it gives them a little gift of having a couple less dishes to wash in a busy season.
Originally I was going to grab a festive bucket of popcorn for each family but I was way late to the game and all the cute ones were already gone. Walmart pretty much just had this crazy looking AI generated dog one and I just couldn’t bring myself to gift that to my neighbors.
Snow
Not a favorite but it’s life lately. The past 2 weeks have even super snowy and I’m frankly tired of driving in it in the morning before the plows can get to it.
Bible Journal
This year I am reading through the New Testament. I’ve been enjoying it a lot and I love using this Jesus Bible Journal as I work my way through it.
Hello Hurricane
This year there’s been a lot going on for us in a personal sense this year and I told my husband that my word for this year is joy. I’m working on feeling joy and really leaning into being joyful in all things and not letting circumstances steal my joy. After a difficult day this week this song came into my head and I then listened to it a few times.
