Y’all I am so excited to share that today is the start of a new series! In celebration of the new Cricut Maker 3 I will be sharing 25 Christmas gifts that you can make with the Cricut Maker 3. During the series you will get some great Christmas gift ideas and see how versatile the Cricut Maker 3 is. Today I’m sharing a fun tutorial for how to personalize a beach towel.
My mom made towels with our names on them for us when we were little and they are adorable. There are a number of ways you can personalize a beach towel. I opted to keep it simple and use some iron-on vinyl.

Personalized Beach Towel Tutorial
Prepare the Towel
Wash and dry your towel.
Cut the Vinyl
Make a new project in Cricut Design Space. Use the text tool type out the name you want to put on your towel. You could also use one of the image files if you like. Adjust the font and text size to get what you want for your towel. Then click the ungroup button.
If you want to cut the letters out of different vinyls then you will need to change the colors so that the Maker 3 will separate the letters out onto different mats. Click on the square next to the Operation box. Then select a color.
When you click Make It you will be taken to a screen where you will see the image on the mat or mats if you. Be sure to mirror your image. It’s absolutely vital! The mirror button is on the left side.
Click continue and follow the prompts for selecting your materials and loading the appropriate blade.
And don’t forget to put your iron-on vinyl with the shiny side down.
Apply the Vinyl
Once you have cut out your letters you will weed the vinyl that you don’t need away from the letters.
Then position your letters onto the towel. Use the Cricut Easy Press 2 to apply the vinyl to your towel. Follow the Cricut Heat Guide to determine the temperature, time, and type of peel to do.
Pairing a towel with some fun swim toys would really make a cute little gift especially if you are headed on vacation any time soon.
