Friday Five

Friday Fri-YAY!  I’m so happy it’s here now.  We have been going non-stop the last few weeks and I just want to sleep!  But enough complaining, here’s what’s good right now:

[one] The Swingset!

After a week of work we have a completed swingset!  And the boys love it.  We finished it on Tuesday and they have been playing on it every chance they get.

[two] One Week of School

This coming week is my son’s last week of preschool.  I took a picture of him on the first day with a “first day of school sign and I will be taking one of him with a sign on the last day.  I shared them two weeks ago just in case you want to do the same with your kiddos.

[three] Show and Tell

Speaking of completing preschool… We loved our son’s school.  His teachers were amazing and loving and I cannot speak highly enough of them.  He was in a letter of the week based program and each week they had Show and Tell where you bring in an item that begins with the letter of the week.  While most of you might not need this until the Fall I thought I’d share my list of show and tell ideas for each letter now while it’s fresh in my mom brain.  You all can pin it for next year if your child gets stumped and can’t think of anything.

[four] Sewing

This weekend I hope to be doing a little sewing for myself.  I went fabric shopping yesterday and I’m excited to sit down and do some sewing.  I like to really hunker down and work on things without interruptions but as a stay at home mom that’s just not reality.  It’s hard for me to focus on a project when I have to start-stop-start-stop so much so I’m excited that this Saturday I’ll have a little dedicated sewing time.  If all goes well I’ll be sharing my projects next week.
