It’s Friday! Time to do the Friday dance! This week has been kinda quick actually, but I’m happy to see Friday none-the-less. Here’s what I’m loving today:

[three] Tis Herself

I just picked up ‘Tis Herself: An Autobiography, Maureen O’Hara’s autobiography from the library and I’m looking forward to digging into it this weekend. I’ve always loved her and when she passed recently I was reminded that I’ve wanted to read more about her life.

Each week Relevant Magazine has a feature on Fridays called “The High Five” in which they highlight happy news stories. As much as I love staying up on current events sometimes the weight of the bad stuff happening gets me down and I need a little pick me up. Here’s last week’s Five.

[five] Ikea’s Soft Toys for Education

Have you heard about this? I love Ikea anyway, but I love them even more for this program. They had kids design some plush toys and they will donate one euro from each toy sold to children’s education projects by Unicef and Save the Children. And yes, I did read about this in The High Five.
