Friday Favorites

Hello! I’m excited to be done with this week per usual. I just love our time together on the weekends and being able to relax. Here’s what I’m loving this week:

[one] I finished the whole30 program! I actually finished something that I started! I wrote up a giant whole30 results post if you want to know all about it. I dish on how it went, my results, favorite recipes and product recommendations like my favorite salad dressing.

[two] We went to go see The Lego Movie 2. It wasn’t spectacular (it was good, nothing bad, just lackluster) but it’s winter in Ohio and it was a fun something to do on a Saturday with the kids. If you do take your kids be forewarned it’s kinda long (1 hour and 40 minutes plus 15 minutes of previews).

[three] Thrifting! Yesterday I went thrifting for the first time in a long time. It’s always hit or miss but when it’s a hit I’m able to find some great things for a good price. Kid’s clothes are expensive and by buying some of my boys’ clothes second hand we are able to save a ton.

Yesterday I got so much stuff for my boys. I love it when I can get them things like cute polos for church for $2 a piece (Ralph Lauren and Lacoste) and play shorts for $1.50-$2 (Nike, Addidas). I find that if you’re super thorough about checking things over to make sure they are in great condition then there are some deals to be had.

[four] Wednesday night I had a rough night and Thursday I was still struggling so I got up, showered, did my hair and tried to distract myself with a busy day of shopping, lunch, and the library. I need a hair cut desperately but this little side braid actually turned out pretty nicely so I was excited.

[five] We get to go out tonight with some other couples and we are so excited! Every time we go out without the kids it’s just so much fun. I cannot wait.
