Friday Favorites

Happy Friday!  This week has been busy busy so I’m looking forward to the weekend.  My husband and I discussed this morning a plan for each of us to sleep in one day this weekend.  I think I’m going to claim tomorrow as my morning to sleep in.  It’s been that kind of week.  Here’s my favorites from this week:

1. VBS

A (my 4 year old) has been having a blast this week at VBS.  It’s his first time at VBS and my first time leaving him somewhere other than a relative’s house.  He has gone into childcare for MOPs and church but I’ve always been in the building.  This is the first time I’ve actually left him somewhere and gone somewhere else.  There may have been tears the first day but they were not his.

2. Cow Appreciation Day

The boys and I got our costumes made and celebrated Cow Appreciation Day at Chick-Fil-A on Tuesday.  The boys own almost nothing white so we had to improvise and go black with white spots.

3. Target Clearance

Target is having a major clearance right now.  I snagged up some Christmas gifts for the boys.  I talked myself out of buying these plates.  They were so pretty.  Someone please give them a good home!

4. Quilt in Progress

I’m making a quilt for a friend whose baby boy is due very soon.  So far, I’m loving it.  I’m hoping to finish it and mail it off this coming week.  Here’s a sneak peek:

5. Proverbs

I’m studying Proverbs along with Good Morning Girls right now.  Proverbs is now one of my favorite books.  So much to cling to!
