Happy Friday! Today is suppoosed to be warm (like 71) and tomorrow it’s supposed to snow. I think we have come to the end of our warmth. But I’m not upset. We made it nearly to Thanksgiving and I haven’t been cold yet. All the fun of Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years always keeps me distracted and the cold doesn’t usually get to me until February. Then I start to hate it. But for now, it’s ok. Here’s what I’m loving this week:
[one] Walking on Air
I have not had black flats for 2 years. Two years ago I got rid of my old ones that were worn out and I thought it would finally make me get new ones… but it took me 2 years. I finally got some this weekend! I had my eyes on getting a pair of Sketchers for a while based on having heard good things. I got the Bobs Pureflex Supastar in black and they have not disappointed. So comfortable. You can see them in this picture I shared on Instagram earlier this week.
[two] Shirt Dress!
While walking through Target the other day I spotted the shirt dress above. I’m loving all things buffalo red plaid and I immediately decided to get it. I’ve been working on losing some weight but for some time I’ve been squeezing into my old clothes and I’ve mostly refused to get bigger clothes. I have not given up on continuing to lose my extra weight but for now I wanted to get a few things that fit me better so that I feel more comfortable and feel better about myself.
There’s a few similar ones on Amazon (These all actually come in red but the preview shows a different color for some):
[three] Live It Well
I cannot get enough of this song lately. With two little boys growing up so quickly I just love this reminder to live my life well.

Thanksgiving is less than a week away and I am excited for all the time spent with family, and Black Friday, and Gilmore Girls! Black Friday I will be sequestering myself from social media so I can sit down and begin watching Gilmore Girls. Really though, I am going to stay off of social media for like a week or so because it’s going to take me a while to get through the revival. Not sure what my husband is going to do while I am busy watching each night when our kids go to bed. Probably watching football. Just a guess.
Hope you have a good weekend and Thanksgiving!
