Happy Happy Friday!
Here’s what I’m loving this week:
[one] Once Upon a Time
I just watched the episode with Belle and Rumple’s wedding and I loved their vows! And Belle’s hat! I need that hat. I really love their story. I’m only on season 4 now so don’t tell me anything that I haven’t seen yet!
[two] Parent Teacher Conferences
We had parent teacher conferences this week and I am so happy that our kindergartner is doing so well. His teacher is amazing and we are so thankful for her.
[three] Free Advent Calendar
Yesterday I shared a new Christmas tradition we’re doing this year and I shared a free 24 page Advent calendar. Each page has a scene from the story of the birth of Jesus and a Scripture reading for the day.
[four] The Weather
I have no complaints about the current weather situation. Fresh air and walks with the boys are so good for my soul.
[five] Thanksgiving Vegetable
I’m signed up to make a vegetable for Thanksgiving. Someone else is making green bean casserole and a salad so I need to come up with a veggie that is not one of those. Or potatoes. I was thinking maybe some kind of veggie gratin. Any suggestions for me? Any fool proof crowd-pleasing recipes? What veggies do you have at Thanksgiving?
Hope you have a good weekend!

YAY for a thriving kindergartner. That so awesome. I'll have to check out your advent post soon. Planning Advent stuff is on my to do agenda for the next week or two.

I'm ready to launch into full on Christmas mode soon. I think this week I'm going to work on sewing stockings.

Love the advent calendar! For your veggie side - brown sugar and butter on cooked carrots are always a kid and adult crowd pleaser!

Thank you! And yes, now that you mention it my sister-in-law makes brown sugar carrots like that sometimes and they are good! Thanks for the idea!

Vegetable side dishes are difficult, I'm thinking of making a broccoli and cheese side dish. www.supersimpleways.com

Yes! My husband and I were talking about it last night and he mentioned brussels sprouts.
