Friday, lovely Friday you are here! Here’s some of my favorites from this week:
1. I painted my nails!
Yes, it’s pitiful that this is such a noteworthy event but it’s been so long since I painted my toenails and even longer since I painted my fingernails. I have been wanting to do it for a couple weeks now but was paralyzed in the nail polish aisle with so many choices and two busy boys pulling all the polished off the wall but Wednesday I finally bought a new polish (essie’s Haute in the Heat). It’s a deep pink that is very pretty. Initially I was contemplating essie’s Ballet Slippers which was much more subtle and demure but I thought “Why not have a little more fun?”. I painted my toenails first and then I decided to paint my fingernails. It’s been ages (and 2 kids) since I have done that but again I thought “Why not?”. Well, I love it.
2. Getting My Ducks in a Row
I’ve been working on our Master Bedroom as the start of a major organizational overhaul and Spring cleaning on our home. I’m hoping to tackle one room per week so that I can get things in order. I made my first few drop offs at the Goodwill and am excited to continue the purge and put in some more effective organizational systems. I’ll be checking back in on Tuesday with the befores and afters of the Master Bedroom.
3. Duchess of Cambridge Paper Dolls
I think I might have actually squealed when I saw these Duchess of Cambridge Paper Dolls. I never had paper dolls when growing up but they seem like fun and the drawings are so so pretty. Might be fun to play with while I wait for news on the royal baby!
4. Fuller House
I think my husband might be more excited about this one that I am, but I’m still pretty excited.
5. My Mother Practiced the Piano
If you’re a mama with a creative heart that sometimes struggles with the balance of pursuing passions and motherhood then this article by Rebecca Reynolds is a must read. Seriously, pull it up in another tab now so that you don’t forget. It will do all sorts of good for your heart.

Your nails look gorgeous! Love them :-) I'm with your husband on my excitement level for Fuller House. I am literally counting down the minutes until 2016!

Yay for Fuller House!! And I can totally relate to painted nails being noteworthy :) I'm the same way - and every time I paint them I wonder why I don't do it more.
