Friday Favorites

Hello! This is the end of summer and the craziness of a fall schedule has already begun. With current events being so heavy I am trying to do my best to stay well educated and help where I can but I am also trying hard to really focus on seeing what is good in my life and being grateful. Here’s what I am loving this week:

Back to School

Things look different again this year for school but we are thankful for what we are able to do. As I have said before in the pandemic, I am big on celebrating and finding the simple joys. One of my favorite traditions is taking First Day of School photos with my boys. You can grab the 2021 First Day of School signs I made for this year and use them too if you want!

The Mysterious Benedict Society

The kids and I began this series one rainy afternoon and we absolutely loved it. I highly recommend if you have Netflix. Apparently it is based off of a series of books and I will be getting them from the library because I’m sure it will be a while before we get a second season.

New Living Room Rug

Way back on Prime Day I got a new living room rug. So far we have really loved it. We have two busy boys and I did not want something too expensive because of the wear and tear it will sustain over the next few years. We are still very much in the process of updating our new house but little steps like this help make it feel more and more like home.

Scootering

We recently moved and all of the kids in our new neighborhood ride scooters, so of course we had to get scooters for our boys. We live on a cul de sac and our sons love zooming around on their scooters multiple times a day. We got the micro-maxi scooter for our 8 year old and a Mongoose Force 3.0 for our 10 year old.

I hope you all are doing well and that you have a wonderful weekend!
