It’s been a while since I’ve been able to sit down and write. We are in the midst of a big move and some other life-happenings so I haven’t had much time for writing. But I’ve been wanting to so I’m making myself take a few minutes to write one of these little Friday Favorites posts. Here’s what I’m loving this week:
Gauze Dresses
If you haven’t been there in a while take a stroll through the women’s section (or in the app on your phone) and look at the pretty gauze tank dresses that they came out with recently! I picked up the light turquoise (aquamarine?) color one. They call it “green” on the website but it has some blue in it. We’ve had a cold snap so I haven’t gotten to wear it yet but I’m dying to. If you have a daughter they also have matching girls dresses.
New House
I cannot wait to share about the new house! We close in a few weeks and I am busy planning all the projects. Currently I spend a big chunk of my free time figuring out a color palette for the house, where we are putting our furniture, what new things we may need to get, etc. Honestly I’m one of those people who really needs to be in a space in order to figure out what works so I’m just making notes for when the move actually happens.
Home Town
Speaking of houses… we got cable for while we are in our apartment waiting to close on our house. We haven’t had cable in years but thought it would be fun for this short time and also doubted that our digital antennae would work with apartments above and all around us. Well, I know I am light years behind all of you but this is our first time watching Home Town and oh my gracious we love it and have been binging it. I love seeing how others look at a space and come up with a vision and solutions for it.
Spring Break
We had a wonderful spring break here at home. The weather was glorious and we took full advantage. Each day we got out to a park to hike, went to the zoo, played on a playground, or played some tennis. It 100% felt like a vacation to be able to make our own schedule and be out in the glorious weather.
Soccer Season
Spring soccer season has begun. The boys didn’t do soccer last year so there is some excitement in our house over the start of soccer season. We do it just for fun, not in a super competitive way and I love to see their joy in it.
