Oh, it’s been a week… but it’s Friday! Here’s what I’m loving this week:
My Thoughtful Son
My husband took our boys to the library one night this week and my oldest came home with a book he picked out for me. I thought it was the sweetest thing. It’s a blogging book for kids. He thought it would help me with the blog.
Fabric Shopping
I had to run into Joann’s to grab some supplies for a project but of course I took a little time to browse. The new spring colors of these quilted velvet fabrics caught my eye. I made pillow covers from the dark gray at the bottom. I don’t need every color of this fabric but it sure does come in pretty colors.
Sunshine & Rest
I wasn’t feeling great this week and so I rested more than I normally would have. One afternoon it was nice and sunny and I spent a good while reading my Bible, snuggled up in a blanket, in a chair next to the window and it felt so good to feel the warmth of the sun. Winter here in Ohio isn’t hard because of the cold… really it’s hard because of the lack of sunshine. Days like this are so refreshing.
Book Recommendations
I share a lot of crafts here but I also love to share posts like this one from yesterday. As a mom I hope to pass on my love of reading to my boys and so I love helping them find new books. Yesterday I shared my list of mystery books for 3rd graders in the hopes that it can help other families find new books.
I hope you all have a great weekend!
