Friday is here! I’m sure you are as excited as I am. After a busy few weeks I am extremely excited for a weekend with no commitments. Cue the naps! Here is what I’m loving this week:
1. Blueberry Picking
I took the boys to pick blueberries this week and to them it was basically like Christmas. My older son is begging to go back already. Our blueberries made it into a few recipes this week.
2. Slugs & Bugs Sing the Bible Vol. 2 Kickstarter
As I mentioned on Tuesday on of our favorite kid’s songwriter Randall Goodgame is coming out with a new CD. Just like the last one this one is full of great songs with lyrics straight from the Bible. Our boys love the fun songs and I love that learning these songs is planting seeds of truth in their hearts. We pledged this past week to support the Kickstarter for Slugs & Bugs Sing the Bible Volume 2. These videos are from Volume 1 but they give you an idea of what the CDs will be like.
3. New Planner
I’m just a teensy bit type A and I love a good planner. I picked my new one out at Target last week and began using it this week and I LOVE it.
4. Penguin Fabric
I made a few baby gifts for a friend this week and I’m mailing them off today. The penguin fabric that I used for some of them may be one of my favorites. If you’re interested in sewing some baby gifts yourself check out my Baby Bib Tutorial. I included a free printable pattern to make things easy.
5. How God Takes Our Dark Stories and Turns Them into Light {a.k.a. You Were Made to Sparkle} by Sarah Mae
I love hearing others’ stories. Sometimes I struggle with sharing out of my own past pains and hurts but I’m hoping to be more open and more bold in sharing myself. “Our stories aren’t just for us — they are for those who are hurting and in need of hope. ”
Hope you all have a great weekend and that you get to take a nap too! I’m really looking forward to mine.

I've been thinking about taking my niece blueberry picking but I haven't gotten around to it yet. I'll have to add it to my summer to-do list. The muffins you made look delicious!

You should definitely take her and somewhat soon. Depending on where you live blueberry season may be over soon.

Where did you go blueberry picking? We recently went too and loved it! That's crazy we are so close to each other. I'm also looking for fun, local things to do - so I love knowing you are in the same area for ideas :)

We went to Rittman Orchards. It's in Doylestown. I love to follow what you guys do too since you're local. Have a great weekend!
