Friday Favorites

Friday, Friday, Friday!  Happy Friday everyone!  We went away for Thanksgiving to visit my family and the recovery has been a little rough.  That being said, it’s Friday!  And the weekend is upon us.  Here’s what I’m loving this week:

[two] New Fitbit!

On Black Friday I got the Fitbit Alta HR.  I love it.  I had a Fitbit prior to this but after 3 years or so the battery just won’t keep a charge and it periodically resets my steps to zero which is really demoralizing.  I am loving my Fitbit Alta HR so far.  I really love that it tells me what heart rate zone I’m in and I basically love that it doesn’t die or reset all the time.

[three] Children’s Museum of Richmond

While visiting my family in Virginia my mom took the boys to the Children’s Museum of Richmond.  I loved getting to play with my boys where I played as a kid too.  A lot of it has changed, but some is the same.

[four] Comfy Shoes

So… I am in search of some comfortable, casual shoes.  I want shoes I can wear with jeans and is not a running shoes but is comfortable enough to walk in all day.  I’m considering the Taos Stars or Dandy.  I read that they have excellent arch support and people love them but the price is a little high.  Could be totally worth it but I’d hate to spend that much and not love them.  Anyone have any experience with them?  I would absolutely LOVE if you would leave any recommendations in the comments below!

[five] ‘Zat You, Santa Claus?

We were listening to Christmas music on our trip last week and we heard this for the first time ever.  Where has this song been all my life?  It’s so much fun!  My one son asked if it was a villain singing.  He said he thought that because it sounded like “the guy who sings the Grinch” (Thurl Ravenscroft).
