This week has been a doozey. One trip to the ER for one of our boys (he’s all stitched up and fine), a lot of work, house project, and just the usual life stuff. Here’s what I’m loving this week:
[one] Chalet in the Valley
We chose to day trip to Amish country on Saturday. With a lot going on it was good to drive out into the country and clear our heads. And we got to have fondue! I haven’t had fondue since I was in Switzerland 10 years ago and this was a treat.
When in Amish country I can’t stay away from the discount fabric store. I picked up a few different fabrics, thse two being my favorites. I have a fun project in mind for each and I’m super excited to start once I have some time. Any guesses as to what I’m going to make?
[three] Lemonade Banner
Earlier this week I shared a free printable lemonade banner! Check out my lemonade stand post to grab your own.
[four] Human Chain Rescue
This story is almost 2 weeks old so you have probably heard it already but this story about strangers on the beach forming a human chain to rescue others caught up in a rip current is just heartwarming. See, not all the news these days is bad news.
I feel like summer is flying by… so I’m taking some time to step away from the blog to spend focused time with the boys for the next few weeks before they go back to school. I might pop on from time to time, but probably not too much for the next few weeks. See you then!
