Friday Favorites

Happy First Friday of the year!  This week was short but big on things to do.  Getting back to routine was hard, but good too.  Here’s what I’m loving this week:

[one] Disney World

We took our boys to Disney World for the first time during Christmas break and it was such an amazing vacation!  My boys are 3 and 6 and it was so magical taking them there for their first trip.  We walked a ton, swam a lot, ate a lot, and had so much fun.  I’ll be putting together a few Disney posts with more details but this definitely goes on my list of favorite vacations.

[two] History Detectives

I love history and this show is so much fun.  We’ve been watching a lot of it this week as we have been unpacking this week.

[three] Cucumber Salad

I gained some weight last year.  Like 23 pounds.  I did a whole lot of stress eating and I’m working to reign it in and develop healthier eating habits.  There will be more posts coming about this.  One of my favorites right now is this cucumber salad.  It’s got a big flavor but is not too many calories.

[four] New Fleece Ear Warmer Headbands

I made a new fleece ear warmer and I’m in the process of making a few more fancier ones.  I shared my tutorial for my basic one yesterday.

[five] Home

Our Christmas trip to Disney World was magical but it’s good to be home.  I’m thankful for this season that’s a little slower than the holidays with plenty of evenings spent snuggling our boys at home.
