Friday Favorites

Happy Friday one and all!  How has your week been?  Ours has been full, so here’s to the weekend and slowing down.

[one] New Swimsuit!

I got a new swimsuit!  Last week I ordered this long torso color block one from J. Crew and I got it in the mail this week.  I love it.  It has a removable halter strap that isn’t in the picture.  Given that I’ll be wearing this while chasing my boys around the pool I will be wearing the strap for sure.  We go swimming a couple of times a week at the Y and I’ve been needing a new suit.  The fit of this one is very flattering.  It’s my first one piece in years and years but the long torso option means it actually fits.  I also love the bright blue color near my face.  Clearly this picture is the model and not me.  You’ll just have to trust me when I say it’s flattering because there’s no way I will ever post a picture of me in a swimsuit.

[three] Back to School Shopping

My son’s list for kindergarten was not too big and we did the shopping this past week.  Because the list was so short I did not feel the need to shop around a bunch or wait for sales.  Seriously, it had 8 items on it and we already had 2 of them.  It’s all packed up and ready to go.  I feel oddly prepared now.  And I did not cry this year, unlike last year.  Maybe I won’t cry on the first day either.  Yeah right 🙂

[four] First Day of School Signs

The first day of school is only a couple of weeks away!  I made this year’s first day of school signs and I shared them on Tuesday just in case you’d like some for your first day pictures too.

[five] 3!!!

My baby is almost 3!  Still gonna call him my baby.  I’m thinking about getting him a sand table for his birthday.  Any suggestions/recommendations from those of you who have one?  I’m thinking something like this one or this one.
