Good morning! This week dragged and flew all at the same time. My younger son has been sick with a cold so it’s been lots of snuggles and not much else going on around here. Here’s what I’m loving this week:
[one] SewCanShe Fabric Giveaway
I shared this over on Facebook the other day but I thought I’d share it here too! SewCanShe is giving away a fat quarter bundle from Monaluna, one of my favorite fabric designers. It’s 100% organic cotton fabric and it’s good stuff. So if you sew and like the pretty prints you see below you should go enter.
[two] New Desk!
I worked with my father-in-law to make a desk and I could not be more thrilled with how it turned out, especially considering as we mostly used things we had on hand already. The only thing I had to buy was paint which I found for $2.50 in the mistint section at Lowes. I’m not quite done with it- I still have to poly it- but I’m excited to soon have a place to do some of my blogging work. I need to get a few organizers like a magazine holder to keep a few books and notebooks in as well as an organizer for the drawer.
[three] Chicken Chorizo Quesadillas
I shared this recipe yesterday and it’s a hit around here. It’s especially great for those nights when you have leftover grilled or rotisserie chicken you want to use up.
[four] New Burp Cloths
With a baby shower coming up I wanted to try something a little different. My burp cloths have traditionally been rectangles and I wanted to see if I could make a different shape. You can see more details and a full tutorial in my post from Wednesday.
[five] A Weekend with NO Plans
Yes, essential my #5 is a big fat something! But we are all running a little tired this week and it will be good to not have to do anything this weekend.
Whatever your plans I hope you have a great weekend too!
