Happy Friday! I started working out regularly this week (every day!) so I’m tired. Really tired. And a little sore. But it’s good. Here are my favorites from this week:
I hiked one of my favorite local trails this week and it was great. Except that I haven’t hiked it in some time and since then they added in new trail connectors and I wound up taking a wrong turn and found myself on another trail. Let’s just say I was lost for a while and ended up hiking an extra mile. Yay for more calories burned?!?!?
[two] Fully Cleared!
We are now two weeks past my 3 year old’s tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy and so finally he can play outside and exert himself! Seriously, ever tried to tell a 3 year old he can’t play outside on the playground? He did not take it well this past week. I’ll share all about the surgery and recovery experience in an upcoming post. For now suffice it to say I’m thankful that everything went well and he has healed well… and we no longer have to restrict his activities.

If you like to sew (or want to start sewing!) I shared a tutorial for how to make a hooded baby towel and wash cloth set earlier this week. Trust me, it’s easier than it looks.

So I love all things Gilmore Girls and in anticipation of the revival I google Gilmore Girls to find more to read at least once a week. This week I stumbled upon this hilarious account of how one writer ate like a Gilmore for a week… and she lost 2 pounds. Tempting…
[five] Day off of School!
My kindergartner has the day off today. I’m looking forward to a fun day with him. We already made plans to make pumpkin pancakes and maybe go to the playground. We will have to see what other fun we can come up with.
