Valentine’s Day is coming up! After the Christmas and New Years holidays there’s a bit of a letdown, but Valentine’s Day is a fun little mid-winter pick-me-up. I love how we take the time to express our love to our loved ones. And I really love the candy. There’s nothing like a heart-shaped box of chocolates.
Last year was my older son’s first year of school and he loved exchanging Valentine’s with his classmates. He got such a joy from filling out one for each friend and then going through all the ones he received in his box.
This year I put together some super hero themed Valentines. There’s nothing more that my boys love than to play super heroes. I cannot tell you how many hours I spend running around our house pretending to be one super hero or another with them, cape and all. The dog even gets in on the act and follows us around, chasing right behind us. Who doesn’t love to save the day?
You can get the Super Hero Valentines here- Page 1 & Page 2. Be sure to click on each one as they are separate files! They are free for you to use for your personal (non-commercial) use. There are two pages with 6 valentines on each page. The valentines work best when printed onto a nice, heavy cardstock.
Cutting and assembling the Super Hero Valentines can be a fun activity to do with your child. My boys love practicing their scissors skills.
These Valentines can be paired with any kind of candy or a small toy. You can attach one or the other with some cute coordinating washi tape. The size of your candy will determine the best way to attach it.
What sort of Valentines are your kids giving out this year? Did you go candy or non-candy?
